From 10th - 13th September 2008 Falmouth will be the host port for the Funchal 500 Tall Ships Regatta. The Regatta is organised by Sail Training International (http://www.sailtraininginternational.org/) and is the centrepiece of year-long celebrations of the 500th anniversary of the first settlement on the Portuguese island of Madeira.

By the list of the ships, I think N.R.P. Sagres didn't take part. May be in navy manovers.

I think the las port of call was South Africa...and i think they are at this moment sailing back to Portugal, but im not sure...
Im very sad for that fact...it wasnt possible the N.R.P. "Sagres" be at this so famous regatta, with her presence this regatta it will be more rich! :D
Any away, for the Portuguish side we will have the presence of the N.R.P. "Creoula" all so a very historical sailling ship and all so very beutifull... :sunny:
