One of the planned events was the lone star flight museum...

just got pictures of it from a friend, its completely trashed. was hit by the storm surge.

most of the vintage aircraft were flown out, but some didnt manage to make it.

looks like the entire museum is a loss.

Probably get a better response on 'General Topics'. That's where all the other 'Meeting' threads are.

I know people are more important but that is a crying shame. All that hard work.

I didnt see their larger aircraft in any of the pictures.

I did see a PBY Catalina but i think it is a static display, there was also a recon J3 Cub (L4) a stearman and a few other similar aircraft.

some of the planes look salvageable but for the most part the whole complex is unrecognizable.

sad.

That is a real shame, but already booked at this end and IMO meeting people is equally if not far more important http://www.psionguild.org/forums/images/smilies/wolfsmilies/pirate.gif

This is true Jim.

Im just concerned about how prepared the greater Galveston area will be for the purpose of entertaining leisurely guests in a matter of just a few short weeks.

Precisely....I've just this minute come from a TS conversation with TarJak and we are hopeful Neal will post an update in a week or so as to the general situation with regards to shops and amenities etc.

We're not sure if our hotel has got any power :hmm:

Never been much of a one for candlelit dinners :p
