Received a lengthy and in places a moving PM from him on the 16th.

It would obviously be inappropriate for me to divulge the details but what I am comfortable saying is he explained his leaving was for personal reasons and other than that I've honestly got no idea for his leaving.

He did ask me to let anyone who was interested know that his sub skins would be kept available and the links maintained for all.

On a personal note, if he doesn't return I for one will miss the banter and the micky taking we shared, so often at each others expense.

STEED was and continues to be a 'good egg' in my book....a sad loss to everyone on this great forum of ours.

When people really leave, they just disappear, they don't grandstand. Steed, as was said before, is upset about some locked threads. I've read them, and frankly, I don't think that their closure was a big deal. Neal was a whole lot nicer than I would have been.

My bet is that he'll cool down for awhile and then come back. The best thing that his friends could do is to let him do just that, and allow him some dignity when he does so. The only thing certain to keep him away is an impending 'told ya so' upon return.
