View Full Version : Hundreds of Question by SH3 (GWX) forum members with many hundreds of answers by you

I have gone back for the past several months and pulled many of the questions
that forum members have asked about SH3 (GWX). I have catagorized (as best I could)
these questions (for easy lookup).

Under each of these questions I have provided the forum link to the answers given by
forum members (many hundreds of them). I have provided a search box beside each
Catagory.

To find the answer to a question copy the questions URL (link) into the search box and
click the submit query button.

I have added this to SHA and provided a direct link... http://silent-hunter-addict.com/Questions_From_SH3_Forum_Members_and_Answers_By_SH 3_Forum_Members.html

Many hours of hard work went into this and I would appreciate any feed back

Great action! Why that Yahoo search box instead of a direct link?

Good work!

I have one question and one suggestion.

Q: Why aren't the links clickable?

Suggestion: You should add the link to this thread back to the page. Put it at the top under the heading "Forum discussion of this page."

FABULOUS!

It is great to see subsimmers create so much for the benefit of our community. Wouldn't it be nice if the rest of the world operated like our subsim community?

We could do so, but first we would have to get rid if those leaders who tell us stories about the bad other forum members. We would have to elect some kind of "moderators" who want to calm the conflicts instead of heating or even causing them.

Well - as long as we all now our western way of democracy is the very best (money can buy) solution for the problems of this planet...

And as long as the economy rules the world, god is an euro-american.

Good jod on the Q&A section, also on the entire site.;)

Every time I add something new to the site I have
to publish it. The more clickable links I have the
longer it takes to publish to the site.

There is a lot of clickable stuff already, however I
will reevaluate and see what I can do. I am not totally
happy with this myself.

I am always open to suggestions on how to do something.

In a pure world you would not have any story
lines for your books. I guess you could try SiFi:yep:

Yup, Laufen. Conflict and human stupidity is what makes good stories.

I'll definitely be using that!!!

Good work Laufen zum Ziel! I agree with the others, though - it would be good if the links were clickable instead of having to do that strange copy/paste/search thing. :)

Thanks Laufen!
Could this be set as a Sticky post for us all to keep it at the top of the forum?

Q: Why aren't the links clickable?

There's an extension to FireFox called "Linkification" which automatically turns text links into clickable links. I really can't think of any reason at all to use the Yahoo Query thing unless there's some kind of ad revenue per search/click thing happening? I don't know, just seems like a wholely redundant method of displaying links.

Kylania or anyone

Can you tell me more (how to get) about the program and
I will start working on direct links to each question.

A Special thanks to Kylania for turning me on to the program

Each question is clickable with no Yahoo search box

Wow, great work! I'll only (shamelessly) promote my 100K patrol thread for inclusion:

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=137368

Not only is it a place to view record missions, it also has a ton of tips that span the war, three different boats, and several different kalheuns (primarily me, but lots of really good tips from other people there).

MAN! After a long time away and out of the loop, I am so glad to see this forum still alive and well! Been quite busy the past year and a half and unable to look in on Ye' Old Site but I have to say it's awesome to see the continued modding and feedback that all put into this game... haven't had a chance to install and play GWX yet but looking forward very soon... SALUTE!

best regards to all!
