I just found this file on the internet; it consist of 2491 (!) pages of entrances in the Kriegstagebuch from BdU covering the period 1939-1945 (some minor parts are missing). I don't know if this has been posted before, but I would like to share this wealth of information.
No work from my part, I just found it...

Receiving those radio messaged In GWX 2.1 I kept wondering what was the reasoning behind the orders. I mean, all of a sudden I am not allowed to use my deck gun????? :huh: :nope: How the hell am I to become a member of the 100K club any time soon if I am to send only my torps off to a 300t tug or 40t coal barge? Also it shows there is more to merchant warfare than SH3 alows you to experience. I mean, the Prize law thing. They sometimes had to stop the ship and check papers and cargo. Before sinking, or appearantly also sending it in to an Axis port. I just thought, "Ok!?!" when I received stuff about that. And you get a glimpse on the tactical considerations and managing operations Dönitz had to do.

has such information already been used to script U-boat positions in GWX or any other mod?
if not, can we expect to see scripted U-boats following the known paths of their real life coutner parts in GWX4 i wonder?!
