Hi there, I don't know why and I haven't seen any question about SH3 display, but when I play even in 1600X1200, my game is in the middle of the screen like using half of my screen and I can't get a full screen display:cry:
Can any body tell me what to do to ajust that? :sunny:

Haven't encountered a similar problem before
I've got these to offer, don't know if they'll do

1.Try hitting alt+enter while playing (EDIT: not sure about this one, works for some games to switch to window/fullscreen mode)
2. Try to adjust it with the buttons on your monitor

Hi mcf1.

All I can think of is that it must be your screen scaling. For example, if you have an NVidea card and a screen running at a high resolution, you need to "tell" the card through the NVidea Control Panel to use NVidea scaling when you're running a program with a resolution lower than your system's native one. SH3 runs lower than 1600 x 1200. So to get full screen display you have to adjust your system to give you full screen by scaling. If you use scaling with fixed aspect ratio, or don't scale you'll get the partial display.

Von Manteuffel YOU GOT IT!!!  :yep:
Thanks a lot for your help!:arrgh!: I just fixed it.
I was playing like that for years with a 20'' screen but I got bored... I'm rediscovering SH3 with GWX 2.1 and all the good things done by all these good people.:D :sunny:
I'm going to bed now its allready one AM and I think I will have a very good night!
Thanks again for your help

@ Mataf - My pleasure. The only slight drawback is that the scaling stretches the image to fit your screen, so you may have to tolerate slightly elliptical dials.

It doesn' matter. It's still much better now than before and everything looks allright for me in 1600X1200 definition.
I don't have to burn my eyes out of my head anymore to guess a prey flag colors or to detect a ship 10 km away in the dark ocean night!:D   :D
By the way, I just did my first mission with the new display (started again in 1939) and i sunk the Hood, among some others!!:arrgh!: Her escort was blind and deaf and never detected me...:smug:
That means that in my campain, she will never fight against the Bismark!:yep:

I wanted to be sure to get her...

So many targets and no more torpedoes available..

With four hits, she did'nt explose...

It's incredible how a so big ship can leave so few traces...

@ Mataf
Great pics you got there:rock:

P.S By the way the Hood will meet her fate against Bismarc.
And I think that if you get lucky, you maybe meet her again before may '41
