View Full Version : Nice way to start your day - rant...
How about this to start off the day: I got up this morning & as usual, made my morning coffee. When I went to open the cream I could smell that it had spoiled. After pitching that out I put on some clothes & went down to the corner store to get a new carton. When I went to get on the elevator I could smell that something was wrong. Sure enough some "person", and I use that term very loosely, had taken a sh*t & smeared it all over one wall of the elevator!:nope: After nearly being sick to my stomach I walked the 8 flights of stairs to the ground floor. This isn't easy for me as I live on the 4th floor & I'm disabled.
I get downstairs, go to the store & buy my stuff and come back. Figuring that I'll use the other elevator (we've got 2) I get back into my building only to find that the other car is out of service.:damn: Up those 8 flights again! I really hate using that stairwell as it's filthy and I never know what I'll run in to (crackheads & bums), plus it just tires me right out.
Long story short; I really got get out of this f*cking building. It used to be okay; now it's just a hole. I figure that I should change my location (in the User CP) to "somewhere deep in the *sshole of Ontario".
Thanks for listening...

Bad start to the day matey....perhaps the local constabulary should pay them crackheads a visit and get cracking some heads http://www.psionguild.org/forums/images/smilies/wolfsmilies/wolfcop.gif
Hope the latter part of the day picks up for you :sunny:
Thanks. I wouldn't count on the cops doing anything about the street trash around here. If they did, the bleeding heart anti-poverty activists  would scream bloody murder. I have no use for these anti-poverty people. Most of them don't live in the area & so don't have to put up with this crap day after day. If they did, I think that they'd be singing a different tune. I'd move out but $ is tight and I might wind up somewhere far worse...
What's this: now I'm stinking drunk in Trinidad?! I wish...:D

:stare:I'd have to say that's a terrible way to start the day, but at least it started above ground.:yep:Here's hoping the rest of it isn't any where near as crappy.

Every day above the ground is a good day right?

You just made my day feel better than yours thats for sure.
I go out to my van this morning and it won't keep running, it starts, but coughs out. Probably a fuel filter or something.
No time, no money to fix it, neighbor gives me a ride to the store to get my basics.
Then I read about poor Murr's day.
I couldn't walk up or down 8 flights of stairs ...
I feel your pain, hang in there

Hopefully the rest of your day is/was better.
Had a great morning myself, got out of bed, got dressed and made myself a cup of coffee. Then sat down at my pputer to read the news and some forums, as I put my hand on the mouse a wasp stung my right in the middle of the palm of my right hand, so because it was unexpected and somewhat painful I produced a sound that could be vaguely similar of a grizly bear being taken forcefully from behind. Then came the realization that im very mildly alergic to these bastards so in about an hour id loose functinality of said hand for about a day or two and as predicted, thats exactly what happened. At least I can still move my right index finger so i dont have to use the mouse with my left hand.

Wow ! That sux !
If it's any consolation... my neighbors had a pretty bad day today too.
There is this family that has a mother who runs a nail saloon, and her two teenage sons next door. Now I've seen the two boys smoke weed and drink beer here and there behind the apartment or in our shared basement when mom isn't home.
This morning.. after their mom had left, I was outside taking out the trash when suddenly several unmarked cars pull in.. swat teams jump out... some run up to the front door and others run back behind the building. They battering rammed both the front and back doors and poured into the apartment. I saw them take out the two boys in handcuffs. They backed a huge van up and then detectives started ransacking the apartment, totally destroying it. I watched as detectives in rubber gloves pulled out bags and bags of evidence along with a lot of stuff like a nice cedar chest, a bookcase full of cleaning fluids, etc.. They tore down the curtains and took the curtain rods....
They had a huge double length van and they PACKED it with stuff in evidence bags and other stuff.
When they left, I saw the place was in shambles. They shut the front door and one of the swat guys hung a sign on the door that read "Out Of Business". :D
Obviously.. those little punks were probably dealing... Anyway... they're having a pretty bad day right now. It's been a full day and no one, including their mom has come home yet. I can imagine that Mom is NOT going to be happy with her boys when she gets home. :D

Blacklight,
wow. :o US cops are probably rougher then our cops. Then again if those kids will learn from that and give up drugs etc. then something good came out of it.
Antikristuseke's story and that other thread about lefthandidness reminded me about one recent unpleasant morning I had. I was sleeping and almost woke up before the clock rang because I felt some strange feeling of threat or something. Didn't make much of it and continued sleeping for about ten or so minutes.
When the clock rang I tried to get up from the bed but my right arm was completely inoperable. And I don't mean numb like when its under the pillow and gets needles, I mean completely inoperable, just limp from the shoulder down. Tried to lift my right hand with my left hand and for a while I was really scared, felt like I just lost my arm from the shoulder down. After about few minutes it started to slowly get better and works ok now. Scary thing, must've been a pinched nerve or something.

Iv had that once and I broke my nose because of it. Had slept with my arm over the side of my bed and in the morning when Ifound out that I had no controll over it, I lift it with my left hand and rolled over on to my back expecting my right amr to slup on to my chest, that did'nt happen, hit myself on the nose with my right wrist and ended up breaking the cartilage to some degree.
Come to think of it, no wonder I'm not a morning person.:rotfl:
That must have hurt like hell...

Inspired by the Black Knight I have to say "I'v had worse!"
Anyway the ridiculousness of the situation numbed the pain quite well, I actualy laughed out loud when I lift my hand off my nose, then went to straighen my nose in front of a mirror and went to work. But that was two or three years ago, so the wasp sting is a far more painful memory.

Also had a similar one, didn't know how I did it... Dave Mustaine from Megadeath also had the same trouble and had to go to fisotherapy because is nerve was actually damaged! from then on I try not to sleep over my arms... safety first... but again nothing like Murr44... Is it so bad there in Canada?

How's your day now Murr?
I had to walk to the store a little while ago, before it gets too hot. When I bought coffee cream I remembered your day last week.
Hope it got better for you, are you looking for a way out of there?
