Hi everyone. I was wondering if I can pick your brains. I downloaded and tried to install the 1.4b patch, but received this message half way through installation the process faile. The xplanation given was that "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\MissionEngine.dll: unknown version"Has anyone else ever experienced this? Also is it possible that the disc I bought already has this patch on? The reason I am asking is that I am wanting to install GWX but daren't without this patch. Great forum by the way.

Is your copy of the game new? If so, it is likely already patched to 1.4, and the patch you're trying to install doesn't recognize it. Start up the game and while it's loading, look in the lower right-hand corner. It will say v1.4 or whatever it is.

Welcome aboard papegojan, Steve is right but you might also find that you don't need to insert the game disc after the initial installation.

many of the bargain basement variants come with these two (IMHO) plusses.
