Bavaria Film Studio---where Das Boot was filmed!

Hello,
while I was in Munich, I made a visit to the Bavaria Film Studio, where the Das Boot movie was filmed.
There are some small scale models of the u-boot used in the movie, the turret and the interior.
I had been told by the guide that the bigger exterior model (1:1 scale) was actually sunk at the end of the movie, when there is the air attact.

Great filme...the best of is kind i forgoth how many times i so this movie but im not tired to see again!
Special when i need some inspiration to continued to play SH3 GWX 2.0 (At the moment im in Setember 1944). ;)

I'm slightly confused about the 1:1 scale U boat being sunk- I heard it was the same U boat used in Indiana Jones just repainted? Perhaps I'm getting the order in which the films were made wrong...

Nice , thanks for posting this , i only recently bought the mini series of das boot on dvd , watched in twice so far it's a great film and this is very intresting.
