why a giant duck ..
Giant ducks are often attracted to u-boat pens where they make nests and rear
their young until they are big enough to fly and take commercial passengers.

Here is a young giant duck outside it's pens in St.Naz.

They are always a favorite with bird spotters due to their unusual mating dance
and beautiful plumage, but are often hard to photograph due to their shy nature.

They are increasingly rare as their nests are being raided by giant rats illegally
bought into the country as sports mascots and then let loose into the wild.

Oh my. THAT was the Type II submarine? No wonder I was so easily spotted. Sure glad I change flotillas and got the Type VII. Much less conspicuous.

Funny I never noticed that when I was on deck. :hmm:

They where made like that to get round the Naval restrictions imposed upon
Germany after WWI. Whilst Germany was not allowed battleships or submarines,
French attempts to ban German battleducks failed.

If Germany had 300 of these when the war started they would have won.

Wouldn't the battleducks follow each other in a line, thereby reducing their effectiveness and limiting their patrol coverage?

Man, sometimes you are SO dumb! He didn't say a duck, he said a duck. Don't you know anything?

Maybe it's in the inflection.
