Looks nasty. Cuba has already suffered flooding but thankfully for them not much else.

The early news is positive.....

Forecasters dropped hurricane warnings as the storm never reached the 74 mph threshold necessary for hurricane status.

Bermuda (that's a hurricane magnet, if there ever was one, right?)

Remember that Florida effectively dodged the bullet for a large number of years, watching everyone else get smacked, before 2005 (the year we ran out of names for them, and everyone had to get out the Greek alphabet).

PS: One good thing here is that the lake (and no, I can't spel it, sorry) is getting a ton of much-needed rain dropped into it. :)
