I installed sh4 uboat addon. I can only see the IX-D2 uboat available even though Iread there are several available. Is there a problem with my instal or is this correct?

The only subs included with the UBM expansion are the IXD2 and XVIII. You can only choose the IXD2 at the start of a campaign. When you have done some patrols and have enough renown, you may be offered the XVIII. Mods have added some other U-Boats.

Don't you mean XXI which I got at the moment.

If you have very good results in the first 5-6 patrols, they'll ask you if you want to switch to one of them. At least that was the case for me.
