Greetings all,

NYGM and GWX - not clear to me what they are or mean despite my searches and reading. I feel like I am on a slippery deck - ready to load up GWX21.exe.

Also, is it possible to run several installations on same PC? i.e the standard issue game and then a updated with mods? I hate to pork up my existing patrols!

Check out this post:http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=725753&postcount=3

I have about 4-5 SH3 and 4 installs in total :D For your other question, check out those threads for info on those Mod Packs, both are well done. Any questions, post in those threads. Good luck. GWX:http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=102096

Thanks on the multiple installs. Pardon my ignorance but are these two separate mod teams with separate stuff (that I assume may not be compatible). The Gray Wolves Expansion team (GWX) and the NYGM's (?) My puter can handle just about anything so I can load up and run max settings (if that helps).

In short, the NYGM Mod is very good; it rewards skillful play depending upon the amount of tonnage the Kaleun sinks, and has a carefully thought out fatigue model, and attempts to model the physics of the sub.
The GWX2.1 is IMHO also very good. It has a great deal of wonderful detail in the ship and sub models and models the physics of the ships, subs, sea, weather, and atmosphere as close to real as possible. There is an incredible amount of detail in an attempt to make the campaigns accurate in relation to the actual war.
There are at least two other very good mods.
SHIII unmodified sucks big time, however.
Many people have multiple installs, including me.
Play them all.
