The Museum leaves a lot to be desired that's for sure. Pretty pictures but no data. Such as something as basic as the length of the ships. This in case you want to calculate speed based on ships length. I was just attacked by two Japanese aircraft and I'm 2000 miles from any Japanese held terrtory. Can anyone confirm the range of these aircraft. That's 2000 miles out and 2000 miles back. That's a 4000 mile range. Don't tell me there's a Japanese Aircraft Carrier near by. Historically there should be none. Is this a silly point and shoot toy game or a real simulation. I'm getting attacked by aircraft after dark 1500 miles from land. That ain't real. Japanese ships are firing on one another. They don't collide , they just Kamakazee each other. Looks like all the ships are stock composites with no ship's names on them. Just cut and paste a few here or there. It would have been nice if the maps had some numerical topography on them. I'm sure the boats had maps that gave them depths. Duh. My hat off to any Captain that actually went into Hiroshima Harbor with 13 feet of draft below the keel when submerged and took photographs. I hope he got the biggest medal ever made.

You forgot one little.... well not so little variable. Aircraft carriers. :know:

The ships lengths are listed in the recognition manual (corrected in 1.4?). :yep:

Estimating ships speed by its length is not the most efficent method :smug:

OP, it sounds to me as if you're still running the stock game. I highly recommend that you pick up two mods:

Run Silent Run Deep Campaign mod (RSRDC),
and either of Real Fleet Boat (RFB) or Trigger Maru Overhauled (TMO).

In combination, those mods will drastically change the play of the game. They'll cut down on the air traffic, make it far more realistic, change the ship movements to historical data and up the difficulty quite a bit.

Do you have to log in to File Front to down load files ? Does this site accept reconnection of broken links ?

I can not get the file to down load. I've alway had that problem at File Front. I registered and now when I try to log in it does not recognize me. It's all my fault I'm sure.

I've never logged in to Filefront, and have no problems there. As far as broken links go, if you mean the link becoming outdated I do not know, but if you're asking about downloads that get interrupted I don't think it'll pick up where it left off.

Thanks, you answered my question. I have a program that I need to use to download big files because my connection speed is very slow. I mean intolerably slow, but hey, what are you going to do. Super fast computer, super slow connection. We all have our priorities. My program only down loads files that can be reinstated. I'll see if my brother can send me a disk.

Cheers
