Oh wow - amazing pics!!!!
I am a photographer myself, but have not got round to doing a full lightning session....
I must do it!
Just managed to finish the last sortee with Monty Hunters Flying Circus before all hell broke loose outside. Lightning every couple of seconds, bloody vivid lightning too. No tornados though

If that's an unusual event there it shows how our planets weather is changing.
That kinda weather starts fires here. :yep:
Mighty cool photo!! I absolutely love thunder! Fock, I really need to buy the damned scanner, we have a photo that was published years ago in my hometown's paper. The lightning in the photo is captured during night and it's going straight down and ow hell, is it BIIIIG!! The photo looks more like a painting than a real photo.

You know Benjamin Franklin once convinced the scientific world that lighting was actually made of electricity. Thanks to modern scientific techniques and studies, today we know it for what it really is:
Evil Juju Voodoo Zombie magic!
Very nice shots. I have to download and keep them.

The first picture is of the West Pier in Brighton where I live.
We had thunder, lightning and rain. But boy! what a light show I sat in a van and watched it all. Interestingly after the rain stopped, that was when we had the lightning without thunder. It was quite spooky and yes pretty unusual.
Nice photos Steed:up:
