What the article didn't metion was the fact that the money "dissapered" on the way back to the police station! Krispy Kremes report an increase in sales in China......

Is it just me, or does it seem odd that the man had $3.2Million dollars (or 22.3M yuan, whatever), yet he chose to live in an apartment?

A common problem for thieves. Spending the ill gotten gains would draw too much attention....

I guess. But this guy was a Government official. The least he could have done was buy himself a modest house or something.

But then I look at where it was (Southwest China). There isn't much down there...
