:D Hi everyone !
My homebase at this moment is " Salamis " (Mediterranean)
Yesterday I saw a post about "rowers" as a add-ons to
"Lifeboat & Debris_v3B" and I gave it a shot . I downloded it prompte ,
and get really nervous when I saw the popup in JSGME :-? , but it seem to work very well :p (There is "no read me" instructions with it) But I recommend it to everyone:yep: Looking soo good .
I picked up some survivors too ,yeah I know the orders from "BDU" ,
but I felt sorry for those poor souls:roll: But,, no war for those guys anyway:cool:

I took a screenshot of it :

I just shoot them with my flak gun. It's not a very moral thing, I know, but we are at war, remember?
I mean, did the destroyers stop throwing their garbage cans at me when I yelled "Surrender"? No. Why should I be any different?

It's LifeBoats&Debris for Sh3 V3B - that's the version which gives you everything, lifeboatd, debris, bodies, and rowers. It's superb. All credit to Rubini for a great mod and to Philipp Thomsen and Privateer who collaborated in it.

NB It's compatible with GWX 2.1 ONLY.

The icons are the Captain America's Officer Icons which come as an optional mod in JSGME when you install GWX 2.

Don't you even think of their, young, 8-bit children at home? What about their poor, dependent subroutines?
Just because we are at simulated war doesn't mean we can't simulate kindness and simulated humanity.:nope:

A couple of careers back I smacked into a raft full of people. After sinking a large merchant I ordered a return to a previously plotted course, not realizing that this would take me straight through the debris field. My boat's bow just pushed the raft to one side. While this was going on, I think that I just might have run over a floating corpse & accidently made some chum.:oops: Shark fishing anyone?:D

Just disappear when the war ends...

The Allies can be very vindictive... especially at Nuremberg... :arrgh!:

If this gets me to Nuremberg, I'll say that I just wanted to see how fast those rowers can row

The liferaft and debris are not 'solid' objects and will simply travel through anything in theire path.

Try positioning your sub in the way of a liferaft....you'll soon find it appearing from the other side of your boat.

:D

The few who actually did that were not very popular among their own crew and other captains. In fact I think Hitler himself issued orders not to attack survivors from sinking ships, believe it or not.

one u-boat commander (and the only one) to be tried for war crimes during ww2
was for exactly this reason.
i cant remember his name but he sunk the debris/rafts after the ship sunk...to protect his boat..as any aircraft that saw the debri would know a u-boat was in the area.

he was excecuted after the war.

strangely..during the pacific war....an american submarine commander riddled the rafts of a sunken ship that was full of japanese troops.....killing them all.
his theory: that these men would rejoin the war effort when rescued.

his punishment?: a commondation and the backing of his superiors.

strang ol' world eh!

The only reason he got of was because he was a on there side. If he was on the axis side he would have been killed.

True. If you win the war, you're hero, if you lose it, you're war criminal.

His name was Heinz-Wilhelm Eck & he commanded U-852. The incident is referred to as The Peleus Affair. If anyone is interested, this article: www.uboat.net/articles/index.html?article=18 (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/www.uboat.net/articles/index.html?article=18) is a pretty good synopsis of the event and it's aftermath.
