Modern simulator

Hi All, I hope I can get some suggestions here.

I played 688(I) on an older computer several+ years ago. But, when I tried it on my new computer, the graphics were crap and it kept locking up. One thing I have to say is that I did NOT go looking for patches for 688(I). Maybe someone knows about this situation

I like the idea of a cold war subsim. My computer is fairly high end and I don't want to make modifications to run a certain program.

I guess I am asking if there is a subsim out there for me that I might not know about.

OR, has someone run into the 688(I) issue and overcome it.

Isn't there a Cold War mod for SH4 in the works?

It's a long way from being finished, but there are people trying to make a Cold War mod based on SH4. While it's not something you can play yet you might find you're able to help make it a reality.
