What would i open and change to have 2 updated available: the 5 inch deckgun and the twin 40mm aa/sanpan-terror.

also, with rfb i cant use my aa gun cause i cant see over the rail, its like im outside the tub reaching over, cant fire except straight up, and i mean straight up. can it be reduced or removed. If it was me , id have it cut way down next time i was in pearl.

A few questions:
1. Which year is the campaign in?
2. What sub class are you commanding.

Basically, upgrades became available as the years progressed.

I'm currently in July 1943 (I think) and in command of a Gato class submarine. No upgrades available except for the deck gun. I only have a single barrel AA gun and the conning tower is a bath tub type design and not very well suited for the permanently attached AA gun. I believe that in real life because of the bath tub style, the crew used hand machine guns which had special attachments that could be placed in specific locations around the edge of the conning tower. I could be wrong though!!

I don't use the AA gun myself but very rarely ordered my crew to station if aircraft were a threat. More than anything though, I'd order an emergency dive purely to avoid being detected and have my location pin pointed.
