SH3 and GWX run on Vista?

The GWX Manual includes instructions regarding the installation of GWX under Windows Vista.

I got GWX on vista. All I did was Uninstall Sh3 and re install it Finly I just installed GWX. And thats all I did. It runs fine.

hi, I play SH3+GWX2.1 on my laptop with Vista.. everything is fine, exept the video card.. is not so good for games so I have low fps in external views! (but it's a video card issue).

My suggestion is follow the GWX's manual intructions about installation under Vista and DO NOT install SH3 in the Program folder, but just outside of it! (to avoid account problems)

I have Vista Home Premium (32-bit) & both SH3 and GWX run fine. Just remember to install SH3 to another folder other than Program Files and to run the GWX exe file as administrator.

I had serious issues with SH3 and Vista, but reading about it in here and in the GWX manual did the trick. Still have minor problems though, like a helmsman sitting upside down, and the weapons officer just standing there with his arms out. But I'm just putting him in bed and then back on this station and he's okay.

Anyway, started my last career on an old XP-machine, I don't trust Vista.

I've been playing SH3 & GWX for over 12 months now, with no problems whatsoever. I originally copied my entire SH3 folder over from XP, but since then I've re-installed it a couple of times without any issues. I'm not using "run as administrator" to start the game either.

Under vista I've found the game runs exactly the same, but loads a _LOT_ quicker. Like 2x quicker.

first, i am not a friend of vista, but with vista 64, my SH3 works BETTER than with XP 32, especially at night during an attack on a convoy with many search-lights on. with XP 32 I had framerate stuttering (with the newest catalyst drivers), with vista 64 all worked fine, nearly constant framerate. maybe it's a driver- or DirectX-problem....

I've been running sh3 and gwx with sh3 in the program file in vista home premium 32 b with no problems.also use sh3 comm.only problem is it's on a laptop with a 64mb video card runs"allright"except for ext.view with alot of action.also have had no problem using the cruise and torpedo attack buttons in the crew managment screen have seen that it causes ctd's for some people but have used it quite a bit in fact i did'nt know there was a problem till i read some post's
