Hi folks!

I stumbled across Subsim... particularly Siara's build thread for U-552... and signed up right away! Wow... what a wealth of information here! :know:

I am on my second U-boat build, the AA testbed U-673 "flak-trap (http://www.travel-net.com/~gcauley/U673)."

My first U-boat build (after a 15 year hiatus from modeling) was U-625 (http://www.travel-net.com/~gcauley/U625), which I built in honour of my father who was aboard the aircraft that sunk it in 1944. It now proudly sits on his mantlepiece.

Anyhow, I just thought I'd say "gidday" (that's hello in Canadian) to y'all.

As i said earlier- welcome to subsim!
Your builds are such artwork, and presented so neatly. I love the informative character of Your sites Glenn.

Thanks, Siara.

I'm a technical writer by profession, so I love doing this sort of stuff.
It makes me very happy when people find the information useful and easy to follow.

I have gleaned a lot of useful techniques and ideas by reading through your own build of U-552... eagerly awaiting more!
