Well hello guys just figured id shoot out a brief introduction here,

Im a fan of simulations ive play alot of flight simulators and all that stuff but i was looking at these submarine simulators and always thought it'f be cool to buy one, well i never really got around to it and i still havent but reading these posts makes me wanna go to the nearest store and get SH4.

I do have a question though, i've heard that silent hunter 4 has a multiplayer is that true? if it is what does it consist of and is it easy to find people?

Welcome aboard. SH4 does have multiplayer, for certain. But I'm not sure on the ease of finding others for playing. I believe you can look for other people playing through UBI's servers, for starters. I have only played multiplayer on SH3, but that was a long time ago... So I'm not positive on some of the answers here. I do know there's a thread or two around for multiplayer match-ups. You can start there for some more info until someone arrives to give you the intel on how to get a multi game going. Hope you enjoy your new SH experience, when you get it. :)

SH4 does have adverserial MP, where one player takes on the task of convoy commander and the rest individual boats attacking the convoy.

But since I haven't played MP myself, I can't provide any further advice.

oh ok i didnt know if it was that or if people actually manned certain positions on 1 sub which would be cool but i actually like the convoy vs subs thing.

I cannot get it to work at ALL - as a host or as a player. If you figure it out, let us know.

If your are looking into the MP [muliti-player] mode, suggest you research Team Speak. Works with ANY game.

Some have gotten multiplayer to work with mixed results.

Most report frustration, aggrivation, and ultimatly futility.

If your really interested in the MP aspect I would suggest you check the MP forum found here http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/forumdisplay.php?f=220. That is if its still active
