The mighty Wallabies ran in 4 tries last night to defeat the NZ All Blacks. Although the final score 34-19 was a bit of a blow out, it was quite a tight match with both teams holding the lead at different stages.
I was impressed with the mongrel shown by the Wallabies forwards. They really made if hard for the AB's to gain a foot hold, but Daniel Carter for the AB's was a stand out with his incsisive running and kicking game.
The signs are good for an Australian Tri-Nations Cup win, but the proof will be in their ability to replicate their form so far away from home.
The Kiwis of course will claim that the Australian coach Robbie Deans is one of their's, but Aussie Robbie as we like to call him now is as true blue and dinky di as they come. TBH I was surprised when Deans didn't get the gig with the All Blacks after their porr showing in the last World Cup under Graham Henry.
