Ok so I would happen to guess they really aren't called that, but alas without the real names I improvise. Hope you know what I mean, if you don't I posted a pic link below.

So, after I got back from patrol I was excited about getting new toys and recieving two new crew members on my viib, but when I went into the "Before Mission" screen I found myself unable to access either the Captains table(with promotions, medals etc) or the Sub Mod Table(to customize your boat). As you can see in the picture my mouse is over it but it isnt lighting up and can't be selected.

Is it a problem with my game, or is there an ingame-problem? I looked at the WW2 timeline and other than Operation Sea Lion being called off it didn't look like there was anything going on during that month. Thanks.

Were you in your assigned home base? You can not get upgrades or access the desk unless you are in your home port.

Also be sure to check your radio messages. If you switched to a VIIB it's possible your base was changed to Brest. I started in a VIIB at Kiel, applied for a transfer to Wilhelmshaven to be a little closer to the action and got a radio message during patrol that the base was changed to Brest.

This just happened to me. I went all the way home to Wilhelmshaven, only to find out that nobody wanted to talk to me. Everybody moved to Lorient while I was out. Guess I missed the radio message while out sinking ships.

To top it off, my top torpedoman got a little too rambunctious and was detained by the shore patrol. They wouldn't release him for sailing, and since I'm no longer in home port, I couldn't get a replacement. Dang REMF's. (sometimes I hate SH3 Commander)

Your base probably got changed.

Ah, that might explain things, especially when my radio antenna was blown away a while back. Ok, thanks...now I just have to find out how to get to Lorient(?) from around Scapa flow on 25% fuel. Darn it lol

EDIT: Alrighty, finally reached Lorient and everything is working: danke!
