Couple of Questions...

Hi all. I am using SH4 v1.5, RFB and RSRDC and i am currently on my first patrol in January 1942(the expansion made me to abandon my old career but nvm ;) ). I am based on Pearl Harbor and i command a Tambor sub. SubPac sent me south of Tokyo to patrol...well my main question is, is there the best combination of speed and maximum distance? On my way to the patrol position i go with 2/3 speed (about 6-7 knots) and i lose the 30-35% of my fuel. If i go ahead standard(which is the best speed according to most ppl), i will arrive faster and burn less fuel or there is no ideal travelling speed?Is it just faster=more fuel burnt? Also note that when i go to ahead 2/3, i arrive in about 20 days to my patrol point (not so fast i think...). Last question: Once i get back to pearl harbor, i want my next mission to be the battle of midway. Which are the days i must dock back home to take part in the battle? Cause in 1.4, i arrived about 10 days before the battle , and the SH4 engine skipped it for me and took me to August of 1942. .

RFB (I think) has the sub fuel usage optimized for standard as the most fuel efficient, so you get there faster with less fuel

Ahead Standard (number 3 button) is the most fuel efficient traveling speed (10 knots as in 10 nautical miles per houra).

All your traveling questions are easy to check by pressing G, Ctrl+G and Shift+G.

You can also travel Ahead Flank! to Midway, refuel there and then cruise at 10 knots to Tokyo.
