I have just returned from Portsmouth and attendace in the uniformed contingent of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary having a Queen's colour presented to it for the first time since inception in 1905.The colour was presented by the Earl of Wessex in the presence of world media and an big load of defence top brass.I personally conversed with Admiral Sir Jock Slater and the Earl himself briefly. Then there were canopes and red wine for 2 hours.Nice day.
