The problem with this poll is that not all the selections are mutually exclusive.
A person can be number 1 and number 3 at the same time. How would one cast their one vote then?
I am a blood thirsty killing machine. :D Is that a Hospital ship I see? Not anymore, boom & down she goes. :p

I'm a blood thirsty kaleun who sinks everything (by everything, I mean every Allied vessel) in his path!:hulk:
I don't care if it's a schooner, sloop, trawler, (I may let go of a lifeboat), tanker, liner, non-ICRC hospital ships, pleasure boat, warship, and anything from 1 ton to 100000 tons!
As long it flies the Stars or Stripes or the Union Jack, let me at 'em!:arrgh!:

I noticed that too. It was a tough choice for me.
the socond one
I would sink any allied ship that comes in my way
from a lifeboat (if it's somehow assisting the allies for the war  ) to the biggest allied ship in the game.

If we can't oversimplify things and limit people to one choice that doesn't adequately represent their views we can't have polls. American citizens depend on simple and misrepresented information to let other people make our choices for us.
The last choice reminds me of the movie Sink The Bismark . Specifically the part where, after sinking HMS Hood, Admiral Lutjens tells the crew that they should be proud of their accomplishment(s) because they are Nazis. Except for that line  I really enjoyed that film. I heard that they were going to do a remake of it a while back.
Sorry, didn't mean to hijack this poll/thread...

I picked the first option, the last thing I remember was getting drunk in this seedy bar, and being knocked out.:D

First. It's a dirty, ugly job, but someone's got to do it. I publicly put down Hitler, the Nazis, and the stupid German people who think that Europe belongs to them, but seeing as my total tonnage is rapidly approaching that of the other top 10 historical aces combined, he Donitz put up with my insubordination/treason. 'Cause without me, he'd already have the Brits sipping ale in his summer home! :o
Seriously, I'd hope I was that one real-life Kaleun who did his job well, but was executed in 1943 for treason because of his trash-talking of Hitler, the futility of the war, the hopelessness of the German cause, and just the plain stupid ****ing inhumanity of it all. Good on 'im. That's a name I should actually go back and try and remember.
And I don't sink neutrals, and I tend to leave small boats alone- especially sail boats.

Ime the second option. I sink anything that is not neutral or frendly. Sail boat, two deck gun shells, small merchent, Ill deck gun them, destroyers I have deck gunned them numerious times.:p

The third option, although doing a job that by it's very nature is cruel and inhumane, my Kaleun, Ludwig Kaiser is from the old school. He has a firm belief in honour and morality. That even in war, there is a place for compassion. That empathy is what differentiates us from animals. Although he is distanced from the actual slaughter and blood that his actions cause, ( he sees it as one machine stopping another ), in the quiet aftermath of an engagement, while lying on his bunk, he resumes the constant struggle with his inner self about the terrible plight he has condemmed fellow seafarers to
He never listens to the screams of a dying ship through the phones. Attacking a neutral ship is something he strenuously avoids, he would never target a hospital ship,or a ship stopping to pick up survivors, and even if ordered to do so, would find a way to disobey the command.

I try to sink anything that floats ...it s only a game :arrgh!:
Since you can't abandon ship in SH3 I am a nazi faithful that never surrenders, and fights to the death. I sink anything with an enemy flag.

You can surrender with SH3 Commander.
I give always food and water to the enemy.
Than I think: Oh I am not a Nazi !
