View Full Version : Royal Navy - Meet Your Navy Day
This may be of interest to some, although it doesn't look like there are going to be any boats there:

It's a bugger for us though, as we can't get parked in the dockyard for about a week :O(

I wish it was possible for me to attend....even if just to see my favourite ship type (42).

They are a beautiful ship, a bit tired inside, but with the modern weapons systems they're still bloody potent.
I'm working on Daring in a couple of weeks and I can't wait to see the difference 35(ish) years can make.

I saw plenty of those earlier this summer coming back on the ferry from Normandy, was a lovely sunny day to enter Portsmouth. Ill post some pics when my mate DL's them off his laptop and posts them to me
Plenty of eye-candy here for you: http://www.defenceimagedatabase.mod.uk/fotoweb/ (http://www.defenceimagedatabase.mod.uk/fotoweb/)

Yea why can't they sail the boats up north to Aberdeen? We get nothing fun like that here.
They could also use Tillydrone for target practice, no loss there, oh and the council.
