Today, I did two boat dives and finally got open water certified. We dove the "Black Bart" off the coast of Panama City Beach, FL down to 70ft. Then we took a 40 minute surface break before we dove down to 60ft to see a sunk bridge. I don't have any pictures, but there was this Goliath Grouper, that was over 300lbs. I should be gettting my card here in a few weeks at the most. :arrgh!:

Most excellent!!

I used to be big in to scuba but tapered off when I moved to really cold and crappy water.

Conga rats on getting qualified. Now go for your AOW

You Padi or Naui or sumpton else?

I am Padi.

We would and I envy your imminent licensing. I live too far from the coast for it to be practical

When I was working as a Dive Master we used to hold SCUBA classes in Nebraska and Kansas. That's about as far away from a Coast as you can get in the US.

No excuses UnderseaLcpl!!!! If you wanna dive, get out there and dive

Padi here. I haven't gone diving for about 15 years though. It's a younger man's game. :D
