xp patching 1.4b

Hey dont know if there is already a thread relating to this but couldnt find a sticky for it just trying to patch up to 1.4b using dvd software and it gives me an error something about en-menu being worng version i am reinstalling game as i write. Any help or guide me to the correct thread would be much appreciated.

When you uninstall, be sure to go to where the game was installed and delete all the leftover files there before you reinstall. SHIII leaves a few files behind when it uninstalls itself, one of them being the en-menu file. I understood what you asked perfectly urmama.

thanks pal i will go and do that and try again it comes up de-menu so i backed it up and removed it and tried again then it did it to en menu

He's right. If you're doing a re-install you need to uninstall using the game disc, completely remove the SH3 folder from both the Ubisoft folder in Program Files and the one from My Documents. Leftover files can get you every time.

ok removed game and all asscoiated files reinstalled fresh copy but still comes up with the above error any ideas guys.or possibly a copy of there de_menu and en_menu files i can replace mine with.

thanks for your guys help all installed up to date and ive installed gwx 2.1 as well done one patrol and so far it is friggin awesome in comparison to just the original game anyway .
got some practicing to do.
