View Full Version : Nvidia AA problems
Hey guys. Just a quick question regarding a problem I am having. Maybe someone else has had the same issue.
I just bought a new Nvidia card to replace my ATI card. Now I cranked up the AA on my AATI card from the Catalyst control panel to sharpen the graphics in SH3. My new card when I turn up the AA from the Nvidia panel all I get is a black screen when I run SH3. There is sound but no visual.
Anyone else have this problem? Its a Nvida 8800GT.
Thanks!:o

If ure using the drivers etc. from the supplied CD or the manufactor web dump them. I had starting prob with the 8800gtx as well until i installed the nforce and nvidia drivers from the nvidiaweb using the autodetection feature on it. I remember years ago i had this black screen/window issue with games or videostreams when i moved it to the 2ndairy screen not assign to it in the setup.
awesome thanks! I will give it a shot! :smug:
no luck :(
got the latest drivers and still no visual when i load SH3. If i remove the AA then the game runs fine.
Thanks for the tips anyways :-?

try an older set of drivers ?!
sometimes solves these issues
yeah that might work. I think I would rather not as I have alot of other games that require the higher drivers. Oh well. Back to bumpy edges hehe. :nope:

You might want to try these drivers http://www.omegadrivers.net/omega_drivers.php
I have had pretty good luck with Omega and they make them for both of your manufacturers.

Have u completelly uninstalled old drivers of ATI card ?
Have u removed any left traces of it in registry ?
If u done so, but still having problems, reinstall of windows is almost always the best solution to clear driver conflicts. Good luck :yep:

There will always be files in and out of the registry, and you won't see them. It's in the computer somewhere, in unfindable places! Wipe out your PC if nothing else works.

Yep, but there are also plenty of registry cleaning software, and there are good ones too :) Surely when nothing helps, Format c: always does
