Does anything happen in the GWX 2.1 game, like a little resume of the career, highlights etc, or (like some games I have played) a version of pretty lame screen saying "War's over - report to Flensburg to clear rubble as a PoW"?

I ask this as I suspect that most people who have a lengthy career have put a fair few weeks into it and it'd be nice to sit back at the end of it and say "well, that was that - let's have a look back". I realise it's probably not realistic, but I would love to have a montage (even of stills) from the career and some pertinent stats e.g. highest tonnage in a patrol, max depth reached, largest ship sunk, lowest hull integrity point, point at which medals earned, longest time at sea, greatest distance travelled, most sustained depth charging with locations and dates etc.

Not that it'll matter much to me of course; any of the matelots on the boats I have commanded so far never saw 1943 anyway....

SH3 doesn't provide that info but SH3 Commander does. One of my careers made it to the end of the war and the post war summary was:

After the surrender he spent six months in Allied captivity. In 1955 he joined the Bundesmarine (postwar German Navy) where he was for nearly four years the head of the torpedo trial station (Marine-Torpedo-Versuchsstation). He retired in 1970. He died on 25 January 1988 in Kiel.

It also gives a breakdown of every patrol and your overall stats on ships sunk including highest tonnage, largest ship, lowest hull integrity, point at which medals earned and longest time at sea.

Yet another reason why SH3 Cmdr is one of the best mods for SH3.
