As the topic says I'm just curious to know if someone could tell me why I'm getting surface contacts with my SV radar. (was SD upgraded to SV 4/1945)
I do run TMO, RSRD and most of PE. The latter of which was just installed.
Is it because it is the SV radar upgrade or is it mod related??? :damn:

It was always possible to have surface contacts with the SD, just not likely by where it was aimed. http://www.smecc.org/mcmahon's_radars!.htm , http://www.history.navy.mil/library/online/radar-1.htm . Hope this helps.

No, SD radar could not detect anything below 1,000 feet:

SV, however, could pick up surface contacts:
