I always wanted an RC submarine, but you are almost required to have a large swimming pool for it!
I just remember my battery powered automatic little diving subs as a kid. Took them to the lake, and when they were supposed to surface - WHAT HAPPENED??!!! :o:o:o Never saw them again.

To this day, they are patrolling the lake on the look out for that convoy of ducks and geese so they can gain some serious wildfowl tonnage!

I remeber the ones were you put some type of pill in the underside. I do not remember what the pill was. It made the sub go up and down.

I think it was Alka Seltzer, or Baking Soda/Baking Powder - they generated CO2 when dived, pushing them to the surface, then it vented and they dived again. A bit like when you vent some gas in the bath and feel yourself sinking a little lower.
You'd need a big ass bathtub!

I only go in the bath at night, when airplanes can't find me.

I really want to get a real RC sub, but they're so !$#$% expensive.:damn: I bought the Walmart one, and it actually works pretty good.

The Museum shop on HMS Belfast sell a wind up sub with diveplanes which alternate positions to dive and surface it. As a health and safety note I feel it should have a proppelor gaurd for bathtime use, it look a long time for me to untangle it.

There's a Museum shop on the Belfast?, how come I haven't seen it when I was there?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! :damn:
I'm still waiting for them to come up with an RC Submarine that has Torpedoes you can shoot...

On shore, just before the gangplank, I think you have to go through it to get onboard-you must have been very excited:D

 I honest to god hope that, you didn't mean what I thought you meant. There comes a time in each man's life when one must pass certain barriers in standard acceptable hygiene, only if it will prevent injury. In your case, I think a trim, would have saved you much agony and heartache.

Thats right. I think it was baking soda. As far as venting my tank while submerged in the tub, well, lets just say it is time to get out of the bathtub. :shifty:

RC subs are pointless to me. You drive them around underwater... and you don't see them !!! All you see is the little float tied to them (If you're using it). Not very fun to watch unless it's cruising on the surface.
