Navy Field + Subs

Since I heard (and keep hearing for that matter) that NF is going to get subs, I started playing it yet again and actually enjoyed it quite a bit this time (until I got the CL Emden and dont yet have access to any 'good' guns for it :( ).

So I was wondering if there was any masterplan to form up a Subsim Flottilla of uboats to demonstrate the superiority of the uboatwaffe to the overemphasized surface fleets?

That goes without saying. Has anybody played Blitz 1941? This game kind of reminds me of it expect this game seems a little bit more complicated.

Not sure. It was kind of cool, not exactly realistic. It was a Korean based game so it had its little quirks. The graphics of Navy Field kind of reminded me of it.

I remember playing that neat tank game at one point but being put off entirely by the community of it, it would be nice to give it another shot however I can't find the download location for it and im fairly certain it isn't operating anymore.

Im on the arizona server as Sorenzy, if you want to look me up sometime, im usually trying to farm money so that I can buy and equip a Kberg cruiser so I can upgrade from my Emden which is giving me a HARD TIME with regard to killing things with it.

The Emden is only ever really good to throw up a wall of flak at everything in sight

The KBerg is nice, but I don't like the KM overall, too much running and hiding

Are there any tricks to getting gunning down in this game? It still a bit cumbersome for me and kind of killing it for me.

If I continue to play I'm definitely into forming a fleet with you guys.

I'm ok with manual, but with the amount of lag I've notice as of late, the only way to actually hit anything is to use auto.

JALU3 of the United States Army Ship Point Loma on the New York Server, I usually provide flak cover in Great Battles. I am a decent DD killer though in Blitz. But that cost hump past the Cleveland is taking me FOREVER!

I got 115k in the bank, plus selling all my armor and mounts I should have enough, but to outfit the Balti how it should, 3x3-8"s, 6x2-5"s, plus armor and such.

You should be fine, guns don't cost that much until you get to a BB-caliber and armor is not THAT important on a Balti (Unlike on a New Orleans), just increase it as you get more money

Also, be sure to grab the 8"/55RF Mark 16 guns when you get them, can't beat 5 second base reload

Thanks, already have the mounts . . . it's just that I have to get use to the style of play, distance and my gunners are onyl 2 levels above the mimimum making the spread hurendous . . . gonna take some time until they become effective.

And oh, armor . . . what is the best powerplant for the ship? With the USN CAIII you only get 27kts without a good load out, and as low as 25knts with . . . should I go with a CV or BB engine and if so which ones?

CVs are the probably the funnest things in the game, if you can get around idiots who blame the loss of a match on CVs

It's a Korean Micropayment based game. You don't have to pay for it for the basics, or even subscribe . . . in that way it's free. However, certain premium ships and personnel upgardes are at cost . . . and subscribing allows for a faster movement up the ship-tree.
So pay if you want.
