I know I'm relatively new to the Subsim forums since I joined in May.
This is the first site I go to when I log on to the Net and there are a lot of great and interesting people out here.

But someone's/something's getting in the way!:shifty:

During my only one-hour break, I spend it 20 minutes eating my snack and 35 minutes logged on to Subsim at the college library and leave the last 5 minutes to get to class. Remember, I 've been member here for over a month and logging on every chance I get!

But then I get this message in the college library computers:

WTF? <= That was my reaction! Over a month and they found this? I always clear out the cookies when I log out of the computer (they use Firefox 2.something and Fedora OS, dunno what version) and the librarian is not much of a techie, so she doesn't monitor the computers.:shifty:

Is there any way of bypassing this, if so tell me!
If there isn't, well thanks for reading this! And I'll have to suffer 35 minutes of more boredom with my classmates! They ain't discussing the type of games I play!:nope:
If it is not allowed to be discussed here, I'm sorry for wasting your time and please close this thread!
Just thought this kind of discussion/topic is not in the FAQ anyways!:sunny:

Thanks!:sunny:

The horror!

I suggest taking a machine gun and going on a killing spree...

Otherwise, no, I don't think you can bypass it without direct access to the firewall

My school had an infernal blocker like that (It even blocked the Microsoft website!), but we made them take off after a few weeks...

Looks like Subsim has been auto-blocked because it contains too many words tagged as inappropriate.

Too many people saying "Arse" or "Kill" I would guess.

Bad luck!

Getting to the front page of the forum was fine... but when I saw that horrible notice pop out, I thought "!@#" That was when I clicked on to a specific thread that the notice appeared!:damn:

They installed the firewall since there was an outbreak here of students viewing malicious and potentially harmful sites. And they want to keep the consumption of bandwith to a minimum since many of them went to the library just to watch on YouTube!:nope:
So the Firewall works by filtering out the content and not the site itself?:hmm:

Oh well! C'est la vie!:shifty:

I think my local library might be doing the same, but the last time I had to post there was also while SubSim was down. I'll try to check it out tomorrow.

Too many people saying "Arse" or "Kill" I would guess.
So it's all YOUR fault, then!:rotfl: :sunny:

What the arse is going on here? Big arses everywhere these days and those big arse firwalls really shove there arses into your faces.

KILL THE ARSE FIREWALL.

Hmm me think Steve is right, note to myself stop talking arse.

Sarcastic git I am. :rotfl:

PS: Can I say git without it be blocked by a Firewall?

Aint' it glorious?

I found this while I was posting in the "Crush Your Dreams" thread...
Go to a page of the thread that seems to allow you to view the thread.
(meaning none of those words that block the thread!)
Click the "Post Reply" to view the previous posts in the bottom! It's so crazy it worked!:arrgh!:
