So I was playing a career in a Sugar boat out of Dutch Harbor and got "promoted" to a desk job after my tenth patrol. Apparently I had a rather lackluster career despite topping the tonnage board after my fourth or fifth patrol. :nope:

I'm loving how few war targets there are around Attu and Kiska (or at least where I've been patrolling). The only place I found I could reliably expend my fish was northwest of Paramushir along a trade lane.

I never managed to get more objectives after I completed my first one (that's probably why I got sent to a desk), and try as I might I couldn't get a new boat out of Midway either.

Anyone else tried sailing out of Dutch with RSRDC? What kind of experience did you have?

You probably got sidelined because you had become too valuable to the war effort to be risked anymore. No skipper did that many patrols. The game does retire you after a certain amount, or so I understand.

If your hull damage goes below 45 on a patrol you can either get a desk job or get a worse boat than you're in (I lost my Drum for a Porpoise once). Since I thin kthe S18 is as bad as you can get you were put on the beach by default. But I've never heard anything besides that.

Borked by 1.5? My 16 cruise career transferred just fine! Just treat 1.5 like a new version of TM. Use an in-port save and you should be good to go.
