Heartaches By The Number - Guy Mitchell
Now that song brings back memories. It used to be one of my mom's favorites. One of those I had long forgotten, I can't remember any of the verses, but the chorus jumped right out of my brain:
I've got heartaches by the number, troubles by the score;
Every day you love me less, each day I love you more.
Heartaches by the number, a love that I can't win;
But the day that I stop counting is the day my world will end.
Thanks for reminding me.

Confusing Ray Price with Charlie Pride?:rotfl:
But seriously, folks...I'm surprised I remembered the words so well; it's been clost to fifty years.
Oh, looking around I stumbled on the original.

I'm thinking the Ray Price version is the one I heard as a kid. I certainly think it's better.
