I use to use Internet Download Manager but that now gives me crap speeds, then i tried Flashget but that was worse than DLM. Also ive notice in the past downloads the best time for me to dl is between 1am and 5am:hmm: for best speeds any other time its 28kbps sometimes 13kb! which is like if i was running damn dialup. My ISP deal is 700kbps for dl around 150kbps upload on a good day. but its been ages since ive had those speeds.

Its 8:45am ive just started downloading without any download manager the 'WarAce Campaign 3 mod', speeds are 18kbps  Totally crappy New Zealand internet service! :nope:

Oh and dont tell me its the distance that causes the low speeds ive download files in the past from mirrors in the US with better speeds than AUST / NZ mirrors. :damn:

Its free. And its multi threaded.

No problem. Just make sure you download the plugin if you plan to use it on Firefox:

There is a negative side to it however - You count as maybe 10 people (it hits a server 10 times over by default), when some normal bloke counts as only one. So some poor schlepe is paying the price with your multiple connections and he is getting only crap download speeds and you are getting good speeds at his expense! :p

I notice after i installed the Meta plugin Firefox 3 then pops up a window asking if I wish to download there massdownloader plugin "Download themall" v1.03 claiming to be the first speed downloader built in a browser, which i did as well, but this metaproduct is doing fine so will stick with it.
