Ouch though - I fuss some months about how much my .357 and .327 ammo costs. Who could afford to fire that beast more then once every 10 years?
I know, if you have to ask how much...

I know, if you have to ask how much...I hear ya. Even trying to keep 5.56 around here is getting expensive. Up to 50 cents a bullet!

Steed will be your "brass monkey"!! :pI might do that. I have a friend that may be selling his at some point. He doesn't hunt much anymore due to MS. At 50 cents a bullet when it used to be maybe 15 cents, yeah, it starts to become worth it.
Besides, actual Lake City ammo is near impossible to find lately. All of it is being shipped over to Iraq.

Yeah, but thing is I'm not so poor that I can't afford to be lazy about it - I just complain  Buying is a lot easier then loading. And I mostly shoot cheaper .38 in my .357, but the .327 magnum round is still new enough that it's still a bit pricey (although I really like my little Ruger). Still, as recreation goes, an afternoon at the pistol range is pretty cheap. An afternoon at the MG range is obviously for a wealthier crowd ;)

I don't remember the M-60 dealing with heat that well when fired continuously.
Perhaps it is modified?

850 rounds constant without a jam, misfire, or barrel overheat.
Way good.
I bet the shooter's right elbow was SORE

The whole reloading thing realy doesn't save alot. But maybe a bit more these days when you look at the cost of factory ammo about doubled.
I have a mix of Lee and RCBS equipment. Alot of the starter kits will get you "rolling" but I highly recomend a digital scale to compliment.

Perhaps it is modified? This would be a special version (E model?) that can take 15,000 rds before the barrels needs to be changed.
