On Eternal Patrol... Again!

Gentlemen,

I'm running SH 1.4 with TM 1.7.6 installed.

Just started a career (again) and have completed a few missions. I was pleased that 1.4 fixed the "eternal patrol" problem where no matter what base you went to the "end patrol" option was always grayed-out.

Now, suddenly, it's back. On my third war patrol and now I'm unable to get off the patrol. I went back out, shot all torps (I've got just under 100,000 tons sunk), sailed around until I found a convoy and gave a contact report and got permission to RTB. I went ahead and sank a tanker in this convoy and headed back.

Anybody know of anyway around this bug? Any file to edit to get back home?

Have you been transferred to another base while you were on patrol?
The anchor icon of your homebase leans towards one side while the others are straight.
Sometimes one doesn't get a message when the base gets changed (or at least it comes in way too late).:-?

Are you expecting the dock/end interface to come up while still at sea? Try docking at the slanted blue anchor icon.
