I don't know why this started. I don't go to shady sites. I open Firefox 3 and immediately get an Avast alert message about a virus being detected. This seems to only happen with Yahoo. I've never got these alerts before. Is this a real threat or a false positive? Here is a shot:

If I use IE6 to open Yahoo this is the message I get. I got this message from Avast's Event Viewer entry:

Sign of "VBS:Malware-gen" has been found in "C:\Documents and Settings\Jeremy\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\WZ176IZT\yahoo[1].htm" file.

What do I do?

This thread can be deleted. I probably overreacted a bit. This stuff really freaks me out, especially when I don't go to shady or malicious sites. I went to Avast's forum and I guess it is a false-positive which I was suspecting was the case (many other people experienced it). I was getting alerts with FF3, IE6, and Opera 9.23. It has been fixed with an update. Sorry for the thread.
