Hey guys, after playing SH4 for some 3 weeks now, I thought I might start giving these mods out there a go. The only problem is I couldn't figure out how to make it work. Now I did my best to follow all the instructions. The only thing I didn't do is uninstall and reinstal, as I didn't think it neccessary as I have not installed any previous mods, except the music files. When I ran JSGME, I didn't take a snapshot of the files as I couldn't find that take snapshot button. Is that really crucial?
I have asked this question at the mods forum, but didn't really get much help there. I know I'll get some here. I've included a screenshot of the folder of where I've extracted everything, just to make sure that I have extracted to the right place.

Click on Task in JSGME to take a snapshot.
You're missing the snapshot- that's absolutely critical.
What you're doing is akin to "ghost"ing your game directory.
The JGSME operates by using the original snapshot as the "primary image".
As you add mods, they change files in the primary image, and these changes are tracked and therefore undoable at will.
I dunno, but it looks like it may have added some files, so what I would reccomend is a complete uninstall/reinstall, then patch it up to the current version of your choice, throw JGSME in there, take a snapshot, and you'll be good to go :)
Good luck!

Thanks mate, you're right, it was the snapshot.
When I took the snapshot and ran the game last night, it crashes back to desktop just before the game finishes loading. After that I uninstalled and reinstalled everything, placed everything back, got the snapshot, and got it to work.
Thanks guys for your help.

I'm sorry but that's not true. The snapshot is only used to verify the originality of game files when running "Compare game files to snapshot", it won't affect "normal" operations of JSGME.
