Hello, thar! I just completed two patrol logs based on the fictional character of Lt. Cmdr. Louis Armstrong, Silent Service submariner. These logs are located at my website under their own section, complete with photography (especially in the second patrol). You might be very amused at what happened in the first patrol.

I think you may enjoy them! Here is a direct link to the logbook archive:

The Silent Service Logbooks of Louis Armstrong, 1941 (http://crisis.fantasia-arks.com/the-silent-service/the-skippers-logbook)

Enjoy the creative writing and photography!-NK

At first I thought you were talking about "satchmo" Louis Armstrong, although he wasn't a fictional character. :)

Now if you start publishing the "War Patrol Journals of Ray Charles" or "The Undersea Adventures of Stevie Wonder" we may start to worry.

Haha, the relation was unintentional. I originally named him "Alex Louis Armstrong" after the musclehead character in the popular anime "Fullmetal Alchemist". He's a character that tends to be overly-sensitive, contrary to his tough-guy appearance. Oh, and he cries a LOT.

But the Louis Armstrong depicted int he logbooks is just your average naval skipper, that's all.

I've taken a break from SH4 since this week is fairly, extremely busy. I'll have a third patrol writeup eventually with photos.
