WELCOME ABOARD!:sunny:
As for SH4, well, you could do worse.
A lot worse.
In fact, with the current state of computer sims, you couldn't do a whole lot better.

My computers can't even begin to run SHIV so I'm stuck in the Atlantic in WWII. I have to use Dangerous Waters,Sub Command,688i Hunterkiller, Fleet Command, and Harpoon ANW to get into the Pacific. Each one of those runs on my laptop too (Except for Silent Hunter III. The video card just can't handle it).

Beyond hopeless, stick with the desktop. Just a heads up, graphics are breath taking.
Here is a FEW of my screen shots - Enjoy - sir!
When you click, takes a time to load - just a few hundred screen shots.
