Our gov't must have gone stark raving bonkers to approve of this. Have HM Royal Navy fly an EU ensign? F**K OFF! The bloody EU can go to hell if it thinks this countries armed forces will allow themselves to be ruled by some half-witted twit in Brussels! :damn::damn::stare:
NATO is there already as a joint military alliance, we don't need this crap from Europe. There is no need for a EU superstate, I want to remain independent!
The EU is supposed to be a trading union, not a bloody world power. Its gone too far this time, time for the EU to go sit in a corner and leave the UK alone. As has been said by the British Government once - "You can talk with the French all you like, but they will still betray you in the end."
Anyone got a spare TLAM? Just one... oh and the GPS coordinates for the EU HQ would be useful.

I don't see what all the fuss is about.
So the EU wants its own naval task force, its not as if we haven't served on joint operations with European nations before. I doubt RN ships will be flying anything other than the White Ensign, just as German or French vessels will continue to fly their own colours. Twits in Brussels won't be in charge of it.
This is something that we will get a say in where it goes and what it does. Sounds better than being dragged along behind Bush's war chariot the way we have been for the last few years, where we have had zero input or influence over the course of events and gained little in return but a huge bill and the loss of British lives.
NATO is about to crumble IMO, it serves no real purpose anymore since the end of the Cold War and the US is becoming increasingly loathed to have to contribute to it in the light of their engagements elsewhere. Maybe it is time Europe formed its own force and took care of its own defence?

Maybe they could rent them out, or lease with an option to buy. Have the EU pilots stop at the weapons store before launch.
£50000 per missile
£ 5000 for bombs
£ 1000 for fuel
£ 1500 per launch
£1,987,209 to change the flag.

The problem is our politicians are so spineless they will go along with anything. Hell they even go against their promise to hold a refurrendum, and then even after three nations have said no they will ignore those votes and carry on regardless. No, I don't the EU to have any say in what we do. It is a good idea to have another alliance, but still have them under their own nations control. In other words, NATO under something like EUMA (european union military alliance). The above agreement sounds far too vauge, and would be probably open to abuse by brussels who seem to be steaming on with whatever they want regardless of the general EU populus's opinions!

The EU wants to create a sphere of power alternative to American bully politik and Russia/China's variety of the same. But I don't think there's enough centralized power in the EU to get that done, at least yet.

Its my opinion that within 20 years (yes 20 years!) the EU will control about 3/4 of all member state policies, with the "governments" being nothing more than local councils. The thing is politicians in this country don't have any balls, they're so spineless that they will let this slowly creep up and happen. We don't even have control of our own boarders now ffs its all controlled by brussels. No wonder immigration is high, the UK is a dumping ground for all the people the f**king French can't be arsed to keep locked up anymore, security is a joke around the tunnel. :damn:

It will happen because it is neccessary for all the little Federated Trade Conglomerates of Europe to unite so they can remain globally competitive as a whole. IMO.
Globalization is a bitch, no doubt.

and this is just paranoid delusion.
The EU is not out to rape British sausages and regulate the length of British sisters, steed - it's not some stupid conspiracy! The EU wants prosperity for all its members and this is for the very simple reason that the EU is made of the member states- and the UK remains, and will remain for a very long time, one of the three most influential in the EU.
Furthermore, the internal resistance to greater EU membership generated by the Daily Mail Islanders such as yourself actually limits Britain's ability to take a more active leadership role in Europe. This is sad, because I'd say that when it comes to setting the EU agenda (and it is rarely Brussels, it is usually one of the big three nation states, France, Germany and Britain) Britain actually has the strongest hand.

Prove me wrong in ten years from now, as I said take a long good hard look where we are now and make a note of it then do the same in 10 years time. And the facts will be there right before your very own eyes. We are finished as a country and the EU will rule us.
EU Super State is on its way with a Dictator.
Our 48 counties are abolished, England will be broken up into the 9 European Regions. Regions will report directly to the unelected EU Commission, not to Westminster, effectively eliminating the nation of England.
A date for the abolition of Westminster has tactfully not been given. Once the 7th treaty is signed, Westminster's remaining powers are transferred to Brussels, and Westminster is left with the powers of a county council. Except it won't have a county, because they will be abolished under the Regionalisation plan. The 9 EU regions report direct to Brussels, so Westminster will be a county council without a county. Anyone with half a brain can see Brussels will abolish Westminster, as it's only potential use would be as a rallying point to challenge the power of Brussels.
Thanks to Gordon Brown working in hand in glove with the EU, websites like eutruth.org.uk are pulled off the net for telling the truth!
BTW: The EU is on record it's wants one permanent President not what we got now. This is no conspiracy.
PS: WHERE WAS MY VOTE ON THE EU REFERENDUM?
Labour promised us the people the right to vote on it back in 2005 and what happed? We were stabbed in the back by Tony Blair & Gordon Brown, so much for democracy in the UK.

Why should the royal navy after its glorious history become part of a mongral fleet controlled by a prat in brussels?
Now the reason its called her majestys armed forces is for one thing and one thing only, when called upon to protect and serve its HER MAJESTY we fight to protect not mr brown in 10 downing street.
I hope her majesty has her head screwed on as she has full power to block any move like this and eject the prat from office and suspend parliment (yes she still has that power)

So the RN has never been under NATO command has it? What would be the difference here?
It wouldn't be under the command of any beaurocrats in Brussels either.
How about the BPF under the overal command of Admiral Nimitz?
Now the reason its called her majestys armed forces is for one thing and one thing only, when called upon to protect and serve its HER MAJESTY we fight to protect not mr brown in 10 downing street.

Royalist yes and to put a foot note on it we fly the white ensign not the blue and gold stars as we would prbably have to if we sailed in a EU fleet.
Yes the navy army and air force is there to protect the whole country but the main point is the fact that we swear the allegiance to the queen not to the european contries.
It sounds fairly arrogant of me to say this but why should i protect a forign nation and its people ? at the end of the day its just like me coming to your house a forigner and saying right this is what i want you to do this is how im going to do it like it.
Well no the first thing i say to that is pi$$ off weve managed for a good 1000 years on our own why do we need you now, why should we have to protect nations who would not be willing in the event of a war protect us (im talking baby EU states here former soviet bloc mainly) could you see belrus romania bosnia or even macedonia fight along side us? Not really these countries just get in the way and make it harder for us to fight with thier out dated un trained equipment and personell.
I hate the concept of the EU there has been so much crap brought to the UK in the last 5 years it makes our life hell in my job i have to go by EU legislation not the governments guidelines but the poxy EU ones that makes my job 20 times harder each frikken day.
Sink the bloody EU keep the pound and keep the forigners out unless they are willing to contribute to our society and willing to live our way of life.
One thing that makes me sick is people who come here sponge of our social system they dont pay and have never paid a penny tax or national insurance yet they get a free house all paid for and a grant it makes me effing sick to see that it makes me want to take my AK47 re activate it and shoot that c*** in 10 downing street and hang his balls outside as a new door nocker.
Queen has overall authority she can eject parliment at any given time she is the boss of parliement we cant go to war without her signature so im sure she is as *******ed off as i am after the tight fisted c***s sold her train and yacht and make alot and still do make money out of it.
now on the boards is pay rise for the MP's why dont they accept they earn more money than any average brit yet we like like *******ing animals sometimes ********ing worse conditions (a pensioner was forced to live in a garrage simply because his pension couldnt pay for rent food and bills that was in my local paper) inflation is high so go on Mr brown why not nail that final *******ing nail into our f**ing coffins and finnish us all off while you still *******ing can boy i cant wait to see you out of the *******ing office he makes me sick and i wish i could shoot the c***.

PDExactly. Time will change the old way of thinking to the new way when the old die away for the new generations. A united Europe is to bring a new super power to the world againts North america and asia. In North America there trying to secretly United Mexico, Canada and USA into a new country as we speak.
Long story short in the future if certain interest groups get there way, There will be 3 continental super powers.

How do you know they would not be willing to help defend the EU and its member states including us? The more the more capable nations work with the poorer ones the better they will become. Its not their fault that they can't afford state of the art equipment.
The world is changing and we need to change along with it or get left behind, whether we managed for a 1000 years 'on our own' is irrelevant its the next 1000 years that we need to think about.

I think you'll find that most foreigners come here looking for work, and often find it doing jobs that good old British people refuse to do; who do you think picks all the fruit and veg you see in the supermarket? They often work for low wages and are abused by shady employers.
