That was bad-ass, Stabiz! Especially like the music switch from Lux Aeterna to...Break on Through. The sudden injection of The Doors was jarring, but in a good way.

Makes me want to ask some questions, though: How exactly do you get that nice 'yellowed '70's film' thing? I love that look, and always wonder why film I see from the '40's never seems to have it, but from the '60's and '70's, it's always there. Second, are the cameras in rFactor free cams, and if so, what're the movement limits on them?

Fantastic videos mate! Ahhh just gave me again that wish to dust off my racing games and have some fun :) pity I have no space at home for a permanent wheel/pedals set up, I really enjoyed sooooo much racing.

The BMW M3 are lovely, I owned one of those cars until I sold it two years ago. Best and most fun car I have ever driven

BTW what is the music in the Touring cars 87 video?

Thanks, Captain! You have mixed up the threads, though, as this is the 80`s video.:) The colour is a filter added in Adobe afterwards, just messing with some channels until it looks right. There is absolutely no science involved, only fiddling with all the buttons.:rotfl:

Yes, the cameras in rFactor are completely free, its the only racing game that I know of that lets you go anywhere with the camera, much like Silent Hunter. You also have all the standard cams which can also be altered by unlocking them and moving the mouse around while still following the car. (Even below the track, hehe) This is why I make rFactor videos, there is no limit to angles and viewpoints.

Thanks! (and damn you:lol:) I want one of those BMW`s so bad. The first track is "Burning up" by Ladytron, and the second "Helicopter" (Whitey verison) by Bloc Party.

Whoops.:D

I've got to get photoshop, or at least a demo thereof. I kinda want that look on some of my screenshots, but I'm not sure Xnview can doctor quite so well. I can make them yellowish, but it tends to blot out the color, which is not the effect I'm going for...*snaps fingers*

If anything would convince me to get rFactor...that might be it. Can't really justify it right now as I have three race games I'm spending lots of time on, but I know I'll be fretting over the idea from now on.

Video also made me wanna unlock the 906, which is about the last car I need to get. No, I don't unlock everything, gives me something to look forward too.

You will not regret it, mate.

... and Photoshop, I am completely blank. I tried a trial verison once, and understood about 0% of it.

My big issue with rFactor is the whole 'download a lot' thing. I appreciate just how much has been made for the game, but I'm on a sat connection, and while I can download as much as I want in theory, I have this threshold that, if I cross it, they cut my speeds until it reduces considerable. Very annoying.

Yellowing...this didn't turn out so bad, did it?

Thanks, Dust!

No, but an ALMS mod for GTR2 is done soon:
http://www.virtualr.net/alms-2007-mod-prototype-screenshots/

It will probably be converted to rFactor, the two platforms share lots of mods.

On the other hand Enduracers are working on a Le Mans mod for rFactor, and its probably going to be awesome, judging by the Epsilon Prototype they released.

I made a small tribute video to that fantastic car:

Hehe, yes, Virtua_LM has made the best tracks in rFactor, so their vintage Le Mans-mod will be a stunner, no doubt.

This one also looks promising (scroll down a little):

seems rfactor2 is in the works, i hope they make it multiplatform, so people can race on their preferred device, be it ps3, pc with windows, osx or linux.

Hehe, I love all racing cars from the 80`s, thats why I`m looking foreward to theat mod.

rFactor2 will not be multiplatform, since the game is pretty much made for modding. Linux and OSX might be possible, though.
