Hi guys
Having a little trouble with this 1
Been playing GWX2.1 since it came out ....No problems
Saved a patrol....and on reloading, found my crews vocals had gone...no confirmation of orders etc...also deck guns thunderous roar replaced by a sound like "a rubber band being strummed"

Decided I'd done the bad save scenario and went to earlier save..same rubbish

Not too far into career(3rd patrol 1939) so complete uninstall /re-install of game

Through "Naval Academy" SOUNDS ARE BACK

Started career and on sinking my 3rd ship noticed The torpedo doors opening is silent...No vocal confirmation of orders...Deck guns pinging. (all ogg files are there)

Only running a few Mods which have not been giving me trouble before

Torpedo Total Damage
Lifeboat Debris 3B
Officer icons
Map and Order icons

Help appreciated

Thanks

I had that happen once.

Rebooted and restarted game. For som reason it fixed itself.

Hope that works for you.

If you use it, have you changed ANYTHING in SH3 Commanders Options?

Prolly TC controls.

Thanks for quick reply guys :D

SH3 Commander.......Yes,recently changed TC so Game reduced to "Normal" when receiving radio messages.....would that make a difference ? ? ?

Have not played since last trouble (last night) so might work as well

Thanks

That setting shouldn't affect your sound but others do. I can't remember exactly the details now but check the SH3Cmdr Readme/PDF, there is a whole section about TC settings and loosing audio/sounds.

From the SH3UG:
Since using SH3 Commander I can no longer hear speech or most sound effects. This problem will occur if you set the "Character animations", "Sound effects" and/or "Particle rendering" Time Compression events to 1. Reset each event back to the default value and try again (a Rollback is not sufficient to reset these settings). If your problem persists, scrutinise any new mods that you have installed since you last had full sound.

Other then this, I doŽnt know. Since you already have reinstalled the game:hmm:

Thanks guys :D :D :D

SPOT ON WITH ADVICE :know:

Checked all TC settings
It WAS TC on "Sounds" set to "1"
I would not change this on purpose so probably would never check/reset it to default  as I like my usual setup

Just put crew through their paces again with full sound intact

Ah Well......... September 1939...........Going to find HMS Rodney or HMS Nelson again ;)

Thanks :D
