Bored today, so figured we could play some trivia. I want to see how fast you sub people can recognize a sub movie in this case:

http://www.veoh.com/videos/v14193774RNmQpkDG

As you can see, I left a clue or two in there.

What do you good people think of the film? This is the first I heard of it and it looked pretty good.A very long (nearly 3 hr's), but a very good movie. Deals much with underwater technology. The rat that they have in the movie is actually breathing liquid and living to tell about it for example. It is not a faked scene.

That was "Raid on Rommel" with Richard Burton. A second movie with that
same scene was called "Tobruk" and starred Rock Hudson.....
Still too easy, lets get some HARD ones !!!

While Subman is brewing up another brain-buster, here is one for you smart guys to chew on

What hollywood submarine movie had an in-movie reference to another hollywood submarine movie

What was the movie with the reference?
What was the movie referenced?

I am not talking about hollywood submarine movies that just used stock footage, this was actually part of the movie.

One of the Alabama officers in "Crimson Tide" makes references to a scene from "The Enemy Below".

Edit - added after cutting the lawn and thinking hard on this.
IIRC the James Gandolfini character (at his obnoxious best) asks a crewman who played the "... Captain in The Enemy Below, Harvey Kietel or Kurt Jurgens?"

Revenge of the Creature made in 1955 Played a lab tech.
2nd of the Creature From The Black Lagoon trilogy set.

He played a minor role and wasn't even in the credits. :rotfl:

update: IMDB.com (http://imdb.com/) lists Clint Eastwood as "lab technician (uncredited)" in "Revenge of the Creature". Clint was born 31 May 1930 and the movie was released 11 May 1955, so he was 24 years old at the time. It was his first movie, but he was busy that year - he was in four other movies that were released later in the year. One of those movies was "Tarantula" - gonna have to get that one!

There are no more Governments.
