hey, did anybody ever play Lords of the Realm 3? I used to play #2, what a fun game!

Is 3 any good?

:o Lord of the Realm 2!!!
talking about some history there, damn I used to play that game for a long time...
hehe I liked the sending letters feature in the campaign where it was possible to insult that cocky pig on the other side of the map
reply: You Peasant!
you better be aware that I will crush you
the graphics werent that brilliant but the gameplay made up for it.
had a lot of fun playing it, thought the campaign was hard.
I still have the game lying somehwere...will it run under XP:hmm:
ah good days thought ;)

The original was the best playable (not graphics), 2 was almost as good (better graphics) and 3 was dumned down quite a bit in playability but has still better
graphics. Opinion: 1 & 2 are good, 3 is a let-down...

Never played 1
Lords 2 and its Siege expansion are great - still have them both and play them. The expansion really increased the enemy AI alot and made the game much better. Both the Strategic AI and the Battle AI were improved.
Lords 3 blows chunks. It took all that Lords 2 did right - and threw it away. Its totally real time, very little provincial control, no ability to destroy infrastructure - limited controls, wonky interface - you name it, they got it wrong in L3.

I've only played 1 . I found it to be fun and hard at the same time. Sending letters was always lulz though. I once sent an Alliance request with the 4-letter word and it was accepted

The second one was a lot of fun. It would be fun to have another knight game.
